Policosanol is a mixture of high-molecular-weight aliphatic primary alcohols isolated from natural waxes. Policosanol is sometimes written as Polycosanol. Zhenwei Bio-Tec list all breakdown alcohols testing result in Certification of Analysis.

Octacosanol is a high-molecular-weight aliphatic primary alcohol contain 28 carbonyl bonds.
